Abstract
Cilj istraživanja je ispitati razmišljanja o nasilju i metodama modeliranja agresivnog ponašanja kod djece koji su pohađali edukativno– iskustvenu radionicu „Biram kako reagiram“. Metoda korištena u ovom istraživanju je kvalitativna metoda, fokus grupa, koja je provedena na zadnjem susretu radionice. Sudionici fokus grupe su djeca 7. i 8. razreda osnovne škole, koja su pohađala program „Biram kako Reagiram“ u Centru za djecu, mlade i obitelj u Velikoj Gorici. Rezultati istraživanja su pokazali da sudionici fokus grupe nasilje smatraju osnovnim problemom u društvu i njihovoj okolini, te da društvo ima veliku odgovornost u promicanju vrijednosti, samim time i suočavanja s predrasudama. Predrasude su učestale u njihovoj okolini i teško ih je izbjeći, no sudionici tvrde da ih pokušavaju smanjiti na najmanju razinu. Asertivan trening prepoznaju kao izvrsnu metodu modeliranja agresivnog ponašanja, no na tome je potrebno sustavno raditi da bi se se takav pozitivan način reagiranja ustalio u svakodnevnici. Uz asertivno ponašanje, potrebno je raditi i na razvijanju i stabiliziranju samopoštovanja. Sudionici zaključuju da s većim samopoštovanjem raste i njihovo zrelije ophođenje u sukobima i različitim situacijama. Radionica „Biram kako reagiram“ im se svidjela i naglašavaju kako su mnogo naučili tijekom susreta. Posebno napominju kako su naučili da mogu mijenjati vlastito ponašanje i da imaju mogućnost izbora u odabiru reakcije na sukobe i probleme.

The aim of the research is to investigate attitudes towards violence and methods of modelling aggressive behaviour of children who attended the educative – experiential workshop „I Choose How I React“. The method used in this research is focus group, which was conducted in the last workshop session. The participants were primary school children (7th and 8th grade), who attended a program „I Choose How I React” the Youth and Family Centre Velika Gorica. The results show that children perceive violence as a core problem in society and in their own social environment and that society has a big role in promoting values and therefore in facing prejudice. Prejudice is prevalent in their environment and difficult to avoid, but participants claim that they try to minimize them. They recognize assertive training as an excellent method in modelling aggressive behaviour, but it is necessary to work systematically in order for such behaviour to become a part of everyday life. Alongside assertive behaviour, it is necessary to develop and stabilize self-esteem. The participants conclude that with larger self-esteem their dealings with conflicts and other similar situations becomes more mature. They liked the workshop “I Choose How I React” and claim they have learned a lot during sessions. They emphasise how they learned to change their behaviour and that they have a choice on how to react to problems and conflicts.
