Abstract

Rad Prikaz slučaja „Daruvarac“ na hrvatskim portalima i kršenje prava na privatnost sastoji se od teorijskog i istraživačkog dijela. U teorijom dijelu rada obrađene su teme kao što je etika novinarstva, propisi o medijskom izvještavanju i zaštiti podataka te definiranje pojma nasilja nad ženama. Istraživački dio sastoji se od rezultata analize sadržaja na portalima Jutarnji hr, Večernji hr i 24 sata u razdoblju od 1. lipnja 2018. do 31. veljače 2019. godine. Istraživanje je obavljeno metodom analize sadržaja na ukupno 156 priloga. Statistički podaci ukazuju na to da se iz godine u godinu bilježi veliki postotak nasilnog ponašanja te da to postaje jedan od najozbiljnijih problema modernog društva pri čemu je uključenost cjelokupnog sustava u rješavanje tog problema od velike važnosti. Stoga mediji, kao prenositelji takvih informacija, imaju važnu ulogu pri oblikovanju javne percepcije građana i njihova je dužnost voditi računa o dostojanstvu unesrećene osobe o kojoj se piše. Cilj je ovog rada istražiti na koji su način mediji prenosili informacije vezane uz „slučaj Daruvarac“, odnosno jesu li o događaju izvještavali prema etičkim pravilima sukladno propisima koje je definirala struka. Istraživanje je pokazalo da je glavna hipoteza Hrvatski portali prilikom izvještavanja o slučaju Daruvarac nisu poštovali pravo na privatnost unesrećene osobe kao ni etička pravila struke potvrđena.

Abstract (english)

Paper The presentation of the Daruvarac case on the Croatian portals and violation of the privacy rights is composed of theoretical and research part. In the theoretical part subjects like ethics of journalism, regulations of media reports and data privacy as well as definition of term violence against women are covered. The research part is composed of analysis of the results collected on portal Jutarnji hr, Večernji hr and 24 sata in the period from June 2018 to March 2019. The research was conducted by using the method of content analysis on total of 156 reports. The statistical data shows that, from year to year, there is a significant increase of violent behavior and that this is becoming one of the most serious issues of the modern society and involvement of the society as a whole in resolving this issue is of crucial importance. Therefore, the media as broadcasters of such issues have a significant role in shaping of the public perception and their duty is to make sure that the victims dignity stays when reporting. The goal of this paper is to investigate in which way did the media report the information regarding the "case Daruvarac" meaning, did they report about the case according to the ethical rules defined by the profession. The research showed that the main hypothesis Croatian portals did not respect the privacy right and the ethical rules defined by the profession when reporting about the „case Daruvarac“ is confirmed
