Abstract

Ovaj diplomski rad obrađuje temu konferencija za medije kao alata političke komunikacije.
Istraživanje se bavi analizom članaka s devet internetskih portala, kao i komentarima te
komentatorima na internetskim portalima. Cilj je rada utvrditi je li konferencija za medije
učinkovit alat političke komunikacije.
U današnje vrijeme svjedočimo sve većemu broju konferencija za medije kojima se političari
koriste u komunikaciji s javnosti. Iz toga razloga dolazi do potrebe za istraživanjem ovoga
alata jer uočavamo veliki broj konferencija koje su dovele do neželjenih rezultata, iako je
njihova svrha poboljšati imidž političarā i prenijeti javnosti željene informacije. U svrhu
ovoga istraživanja koristili smo dvije konferencije za medije. Prvu je održao bivši ministar
Jovanović povodom uvođenja novih udžbenika, a drugu gospođa Markić povodom održavanja
referenduma za promjenu izbornoga sustava. Kako bismo utvrdili koja je od konferencija
uspješna, a koja neuspješna, postavili smo tri kriterija. Prvi su kriterij sadržaji članaka
proizašlih kao rezultat neke konferencije za medije, odnosno, preispituje se je li članak prenio
glavnu vijest predstavljenu na konferenciji ili nešto drugo što nije bila tema konferencije.
Drugi su kriterij komentari i komentatori tih članaka na internetskim portalima. Pomoću broja
komentara možemo vidjeti koja je od vijesti zainteresirala veći broj ljudi. Ukoliko se radi o
većem interesu za sporednu temu s konferencije za medije, odnosno izjavu političara, utoliko
znači da konferencija za medije nije uspješna jer ju je „sporedna“ vijest zasjenila i informacije
bitne za političara nisu na pravi način i u pravom obliku stigle do ciljane javnosti. Treći su
kriterij stavovi novinara spram održanoj konferenciji. Na temelju postavljenih kriterija
analizirane su konferencije za medije, odnosno objave u medijima i komentari s ciljem
utvrđivanja uspješnosti konferencije.

Abstract (english)

This graduate thesis deals with the issue of press conferences as a tool of political
communication. The research deals with the analysis of articles in nine web portals,
comments and commentators on the web site. The goal is to determine if the press conference
is an official tool of political communication. We are absorbing a larger amount of press
conferences in which politicians communicate their message to the public. Due to the higher
frequency of press conferences, it is important to understand and analyze the significance. We
are witnessing a growing number of conferences that have led to disastrous results even
though the politicians wishes were to positively enhance their image. We analyzed two press
conferences, the first being our former minister Jovanovic regarding the need to introduce
new books into our school system. The second one by Markic covering the need to change
our electoral system. In order to determine which of the conferences were successful or
unsuccessful we created three main parameters. First parameter are the contents of the texts
and articles arising as a result of a press conference, and whether the article conveyed the
main news presented at a conference. The second parameter are how the public and media
reacted to the conference and whether the main goal of the politicians were reached. The third
parameter are opinion of journalists about press conference. Using the number of comments
we can see that the news gets across to a large number of people. The larger the interest in the
press conference, the more likely the politicians message did not come across in a positive
light, because the 'secondary' overshadowed news and information relevant to the politicians
did not arrive in the right way and in the right format to the target audience.
