Abstract

Tema rada je uloga video sadržaja u promjeni komunikacijskog pristupa na društvenim mrežama. Prvi dio rada analizira popularne društvene mreže, donosi definiciju marketinga i influencera te se u tom kontekstu predstavljaju primjeri uspješnih digitalnih kampanja na društvenim platformama. Uz navedeno, iznesene su statistike vezane uz korištenje video sadržaja te su analizirane društvene mreže s aspekta videa sadržaja od svojeg osnutka do kraja 2022. godine. Cilj kvalitativnog istraživanja je istražiti utjecaj video sadržaja na postojeću komunikacijsku paradigmu, brendove i influencere te su zato provedeni dubinski intervjui s komunikacijskim stručnjacima i kreatorima sadržaja kako bi se prikupili podaci o nužnosti objavljivanja video formata na društvenim mrežama i utvrdili novi trendovi koji su se pojavili u tom procesu. Nalazi istraživanja upućuju na to da je pojava vertikalnog video sadržaja značajno utjecala na postojeću komunikacijsku paradigmu, s većim naglaskom na kreiranje kratkih, „prirodnih” videa koji u kratkom vremenu zaokupljaju pozornost gledatelja. Studija je također otkrila da stvaranje video sadržaja kratke forme zahtijeva više vremena i ljudi uključenih u proces te da prilagodba za neke pojedince može biti teška. Istraživanje zaključuje da je implementacija video sadržaja donijela nove komunikacijske trendove koji mogu stvoriti jaču vezu s publikom.

Abstract (english)

The topic of this paper is the role of video content in changing the communication approach on social networks. The first part of the paper analyzes popular social networks, defines marketing and influencers, and presents successful digital campaigns on social platforms. In addition, statistics on video content usage are delivered, and social networks are analyzed from their inception to the end of 2022 from the perspective of video content. The qualitative research aims to investigate the impact of video content on the existing communication paradigm, brands, and influencers. For this reason, in-depth interviews were conducted with communication experts and content creators to collect data on the need to publish video formats on social networks. Also, to identify new trends that have emerged. The research findings suggest that the emergence of vertical video content has significantly impacted the existing communications paradigm, with a greater emphasis on creating short, "natural" videos that capture viewers' attention in a short amount of time. The study also found that creating short-form video content requires time, more people are involved, and it can be problematic to adapt for some individuals. The study concludes that the introduction of video content has created new communication trends that can make a stronger connection with audiences.
