Abstract

U današnje vrijeme, uslijed brojnih društvenih zbivanja, tradicionalna obitelj prestaje biti jedini i najčešći tip obitelji. Osim što se brakovi rijede sklapaju, a češće raspadaju, pojavljuju se novi oblici obitelji, kao što su jednoroditeljske, adoptivne, izvanbračne zajednice sa ili bez djece i sl. Suvremenost društva očituje se i u činjenici da sve veći broj istospolnih parova odlučuje imati djecu. Radi brojnih prigovora koji su upućeni zbog brige o djetetovoj dobrobiti, počela su se provoditi istraživanja je li i kako je odgoj djece u istospolnim zajednicama povezan sa djetetovom dobrobiti. Ovaj pregledni radi bavio se upravo takvim istraživanjima. Kao zavisne varijable spominjane su psihička i fizička dobrobit djeteta, njegov rodni identitet i uloge, kao i seksualna orijentacija, stigmatiziranost, socijalni odnosi, akademsko postignuće, obiteljski odnosi, problemi u ponašanju itd. Rezultati većine istraživanja pokazali su da nema značajne razlike po pitanju seksualne orijentacije, socijalnih odnosa, akademskog postignuća, obiteljskih odnosa i problema u ponašanju dok su za stigmatiziranost djece u školi pronađeni ponešto kontradiktorni podaci koji su ovisili o tome gdje je istraživanje provođeno. Nedosljednost je pronađena i kod rodno uvjetovanih uloga. Na kraju rada analizirana je problematika koja se veže uz takva istraživanja, njihove manjkavosti i nedostaci.

Abstract (english)

At the present time, due to many social changes, traditional family ceases to be the only and the most common type of family. Whilst number of marriages is decreasing and number of divorces is increasing, new types of family emerges, such as one parent families, adoptive families, cohabitations with or without children etc. The increasing number of same sex partners who decide to have children is one of the signs of the contemporaneity of society. Due to numerous complaints based on child well-being, researchers began to explore whether there is a connection between parenting in same sex families and child well being. This review paper dealt with such research. Common dependable variables were psychological and physical well-being of the child, its gender identity and roles, as well as sexual orientation, stigma, social relationships, academic achievement, family relations, behavioral problems and so on. The results of most studies showed no significant differences in terms of sexual orientation, social relationships, academic achievement, family relationships and behavior problems. However, in stigmatization of children in school somewhat contradictory data was found, that depended on where the research was conducted. Similar inconsistency was also found with gender roles. At the end of the paper, we analyze the issue that is associated with such research, their defects and shortcomings.
