Abstract

U ovom se radu analizira etičnost medijskog izvještavanja o medicinski potpomognutoj oplodnji. Postupak potpomognute oplodnje još uvijek izaziva oprečne stavove kad je riječ o njegovoj etičnosti. Iako većina medicinskih stručnjaka postupak potpomognute oplodnje ne smatra neetičkim, u medicinskoj se znanosti sve češće postavlja pitanje etičnosti postupka potpomognute oplodnje. Nije u pitanju motiv za odabir potpomognute oplodnje, koliko je bioetički upitan sam čin potpomognute oplodnje i odreĎeni rizik manipulacije embrijem u fazi prijenosa oploĎenih jajnih stanica. U radu se na osnovu analize medijskog sadrţaja prikazuje objektivnost izvještavanja javnosti o prednostima, ali i rizicima potpomognute oplodnje. Empirijskim istraţivanjem koje je provedeno na uzorku od 50 ispitanika utvrĎeni su stavovi javnosti o tome koliko smatraju etičnim i objektivnim to izvještavanje o potpomognutoj oplodnji. Provedena anketa je pokazala da se najveći broj ispitanika informira upravo iz medija o svim pitanjima vezanim uz potpomognutu oplodnju. Na temelju provedenih istraţivanja u zaključku se ističe koliko je velika odgovornost novinara da o potpomognutoj oplodnji izvještavaju objektivno i cjelovito, jer upravo oni utječu na usmjeravanje i oblikovanje javnog mišljenja.

Abstract (english)

This paper analyzes the ethics of media reporting on assisted reproduction. The process of assisted reproduction still provokes conflicting views when it comes to ethics proceedings. Although most of the medical professionals do not see anything unethical in the process of artificial insemination , the development of bioethics in medical science all over the question of the ethics of assisted reproduction procedure. When considering the ethics of artificial insemination is not considered irregular and improper motive artificial insemination, how bioethical questioning the very act of assisted reproductionand a risk of manipulation of the embryo transfer stage egg cells. The paper is based on an analysis of media content of all forms of media in Croatia indicates the objectivity of reporting to the public about the advantages and risks of assisted reproduction. Through empirical research has been conducted on a sample of 50 respondents identified the attitudes of the public about the ethics of the media when it comes to reporting on artificial insemination. Conducted a survey showed that the majority of respondents were informed just from the media on all issues related to assisted reproduction. Based on research we conducted at the conclusion points out the great responsibility of journalists to artificial insemination report objectively because they are the ones who create public opinion.
