Abstract

Danas su društvene mreže postale dio ljudske svakodnevice. Njihova velika popularnost i raznoliki utjecaji na korisnike privlače sve veći broj istraživača. U diplomskom radu Utjecaj društvenih mreža na sentimentalne odnose obrađuje se suvremena problematika modernog društva i tehnologije - sve veće popularnosti društvenih mreža, posebice Facebooka, te njegovog utjecaja na ljubavne odnose. Svjetske studije jednoglasno potvrđuju da velika izloženost mladih Facebooku potencijalno utječe na ponašanje korisnika i ljudske odnose općenito, pa tako i na one ljubavne - unosi komplikacije i nesigurnost među partnerima. Budući da slična istraživanja nisu do sada provedena u Hrvatskoj, za potrebe ovog rada proveli smo kvantitativno istraživanje metodom ankete na uzorku od 92 studenta komunikologije sa Hrvatskih studija, te 4 dubinska intervjua sa studenticama komunikologije. Rezultati koje smo dobili pokazuju kako Facebook ima utjecaja na ljubavne veze - od njihovog nastanka, razvijanja, održavanja pa sve do samog prekida. Najviše se ističu problemi ljubomore i nadziranja partnera.

Abstract (english)

Today, social networks have become part of everyday life. Their great popularity and diverse impacts on its users attracted an increasing number of researchers. In thesis The impact of social networks on romantic relationships focuses on the contemporary issues of modern society and technology - the growing popularity of social networks, especially Facebook, and its impact on romantic relationships. World studies unanimously confirm that the large exposure of young people to Facebook is potentially affecting users behavior and human relations in general, including romantic ones - it brings complications and uncertainty among partners. Because similar studies have not yet been conducted in Croatia, for the purposes of this study we have conducted a quantitative research using the survey on a sample of 92 students of Communication science on Croatian studies, and four in-depth interviews with female students of Communication science as well. The results highlight that Facebook has an impact on the love relations – from escalation, maintenance till dissolution. Most notable are the problems of jealousy and partner surveillance.
