Abstract

Rad donosi analizu i interpretaciju romana Hotel Zagorje (Profil, 2010.) Ivane Simić Bodroţić s naglaskom na naratološke aspekte pripovijedanja, odnosno odabira infantilnog pripovjedaĉa i unutanje fokalizacije. Roman je autodijegetske naracije, odnosno autorica je ujedno i glavna junakinja romana. Kroz djeĉje oĉi prikazan je prognaniĉki ţivot jedne obitelji, pa i cijele jedne generacije, borbe s vlastima, patnje zbog gubitka oca i doma, ali i priĉu o prijateljstvu, prvoj ljubavi, odrastanju i... More društvenim odnosima devedesetih godina u Hrvatskoj. Iza glasa infantilne pripovjedaĉice krije se oštra kritika tadašnjeg društva koje nije imalo empatije za one 'drukĉije'. Roman prati period od devet godina, tako junakinja na kraju romana više nije dijete, nego odrasla i zrela osoba. Fokalizacija više nije infantilna kao na poĉetku, junakinja donosi zrele odluke i razumije sve što se dogaĊa. Autorica je jednostavnim djeĉjim leksikom ispriĉala tuţnu priĉu koja je vrijedna svakog suosjećanja. Roman je višestruko nagraĊivan i postao je pravi hit meĊu ĉitateljima. Less

Abstract (english)

This thesis brings an analysis and an interpretation of a “Hotel Zagorje” novel (Profil, 2010.) written by Ivana Simić Bodroţić with the emphasis on narratological aspects of narration, more precisely, the author‟s choice of infantile narrator and the internal focalization. The mentioned novel is written using the auto-narrative narration which means that the author is also the protagonist in the novel. This piece, through the eyes of a child, depicts an exiled family‟s and the whole... More generation‟s life, a battle with the authorities, sufferings caused by the loss of a father and a home, but also a story about friendship, first love, growing up and social relationships in the 90‟s in Croatia. Behind the voice of an infantile narrator hides a fierce critic of then-present society which had no empathy for those that were „different‟. The novel follows a period of nine years, therefore the main character is no longer a child at the end of the novel, but a fully grown and mature person. Focalization is no longer infantile as it was at the beginning and she makes mature decisions and understands everything that‟s happening around her. The writer of the novel, using a simple child‟s vocabulary, told a heartbreaking story that‟s worth of every bit of compassion.
