Abstract

Doktorski rad bavi se ulogom obitelji Vojković-Vojkffy u društvenim i kulturnim strujanjima na području grada Zagreba i njegove neposredne okolice u 18. stoljeću. U radu su, temeljem arhivske građe, osobito korespondencije, te graditeljske ostavštine trojice pripadnika ove obitelji iz razdoblja 18. stoljeća, sagledani politički, društveni i pravni okviri te okružje u kojemu je djelovala spomenuta obitelj, ali i druge plemićke obitelji njihovoga doba. Središnja cjelina rada posvećena je životnoj svakodnevici i profesionalnom djelovanju hrvatskoga plemića i podžupana Zagrebačke županije Nikole Vojkovića. U drugoj polovici 18. stoljeća predstavnici obitelji bili su grofovi Sigismund i Kristofor Vojkffy. U fokusu istraživanja je njihov društveni uspon zatim njihova vojna karijera te sudjelovanje u društvenom i upravnom životu Banske Hrvatske. U posljednjoj cjelini rada istaknut je osobiti doprinos plemićke obitelji Vojković-Vojkffy graditeljskoj i duhovnoj baštini hrvatskoga baroknog razdoblja. U sferi slabijega znanstvenog interesa u suvremenoj hrvatskoj historiografiji za razdoblje ranoga novog vijeka te za značaj plemstva u životu Banske Hrvatske, cilj rada bio je ukazati na utjecaj te način života plemićke obitelji Vojković-Vojkffy.

Abstract (english)

The doctoral thesis addresses the role of Vojković -Vojkffy family in the social and cultural trends in the city of Zagreb and its immediate surroundings during the 18th century. Based on primary sources, especially correspondence, as well as the architectural heritage of three distinguished members of this family who lived in 18th century, the thesis deals with the political, social and legal frameworks within the family Vojković-Vojkffy, as well as the other families of their period lived. The central part of the paper is dedicated to the depiction of the everyday lifestyle and the professional service as a public official of one Croatian nobleman and the lower prefect (vice comes) of Zagreb County, Nikola Vojković. In the other half of the 18th century, the most distinguished members of the family were the counts Sigismund and Kristofor Vojkffy. The central points of research in this section are the ways of their social ascent, their service as state and county officials and their engagement in overall public sphere. In the last part of the dissertation, a special emphasis is placed on the contribution of the noble family Vojković-Vojkffy to the architectural and spiritual heritage of the Croatian Baroque period.The intent of the doctoral thesis was to contribute to the research of the Early Modern period in Croatian history, to generally depict the lifestyle of the members of the noble families.
