Abstract

Diplomski rad će tematizirati rat iz devedesetih godina prošloga stoljeća s glavnim fokusom
na njegove posljedice za Hrvate u Bosni i Hercegovini. Ratni uspjesi i neuspjesi svake od
zaraćenih strana su diktirali mirovne sporazume koji i danas u najvećoj mjeri određuju život
sve tri najveće etničke skupine u Bosni i Hercegovini. Ova tema je istražena mnogo puta no,
postoje razni narativi i viđenja ovoga sukoba. Svaka strana ima svoju verziju, a te različite
verzije izazivaju nove napetosti. Glavni je cilj ovoga rada razjasniti kako su Hrvati prošli u
tim brutalnim sukobima i etničkim čišćenjima te kakve su posljedice toga na čitav hrvatski
narod u Bosni i Hercegovini. Jer ipak, položaj jednoga naroda u Bosni i Hercegovini se u
najvećoj mjeri očituje kroz brojnost toga naroda. Osim brojnosti, istražit će se i utjecaj rata na
politički položaj Hrvata, ali i položaj hrvatskoga jezika u Bosni i Hercegovini.

Abstract (english)

The thesis will focus on the war of the 1990s with the main focus on its consequences for
Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The war successes and failures of each of the warring
parties dictated the peace agreements, which even today largely determine the lives of all
three largest ethnic groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This topic has been explored many
times but there are various narratives and views of this conflict. Each side has its own version,
and these different versions cause new tensions. The main goal of this paper is to clarify how
Croats went through these brutal conflicts and ethnic cleansing and what the consequences
were for the entire Croatian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Because, nevertheless, the
position of one people in Bosnia and Herzegovina is mostly manifested through the number of
that people. In addition to the number, the impact of the war on the political position of
Croats, but also the position of the Croatian language in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be
investigated.
