Abstract

Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati odnos psihosomatskih simptoma, afektivnosti i
emocionalne regulacije na uzorku studenata u Republici Hrvatskoj. Uzorak (N = 312) je činilo
14,1% studenata i 85,9% studentica, dobi od 18 do 32 godine (M = 21,95, SD = 1,94). Za
mjerenje emocionalne regulacije korištena je Ljestvica poteškoća u emocionalnoj regulaciji
(eng. Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale – DERS; Gratz i Roemer, 2004; prema Jakovina
i sur., 2017). Afektivnost je mjerena pomoću Ljestvice pozitivnih i negativnih iskustava (eng.
Scale of Positive and Negative Experience – SPANE; Diener i sur., 2009; adaptirale Komšo i
Burić, 2016) dok je za mjerenje psihosomatskih simptoma korišten Upitnik psihosomatskih
simptoma (Vulić–Prtorić, 2019). Istraživanje je provedeno online putem tijekom travnja 2021.
slanjem poziva na sudjelovanje s poveznicom na istraživanje putem društvene mreže u grupe
studentskih domova, studentske grupe, putem mailing lista studijskih usmjerenja i na
pojedinačne adrese sa zamolbom za daljnjim prosljeđivanjem. Utvrđeni su podaci o
zastupljenosti psihosomatskih simptoma, afektivnosti i emocionalne regulacije na uzorku
studenata u Republici Hrvatskoj. Utvrđena je pozitivna povezanost psihosomatskih simptoma
s poteškoćama u emocionalnoj regulaciji i negativnim afektom te negativna povezanost s
pozitivnim afektom. Poteškoće u emocionalnoj regulaciji negativno su povezane s pozitivnim
afektom, a pozitivno povezane s negativnim afektom. Negativan afekt i poteškoće u
emocionalnoj regulaciji zajednički objašnjavaju 22,3% varijance ukupnog broja
psihosomatskih simptoma, 22,4% varijance učestalosti psihosomatskih simptoma te 15,3%
varijance ometanja psihosomatskim simptomima.

Abstract (english)

Goal of this research was to examine the relationship between psychosomatic symptoms,
affectivity and emotional regulation among sample of students in the Republic of Croatia.
Sample (N = 312) consisted of 14,1% male students and 85,9% female students, age 18 - 32 (M
= 21,95, SD = 1,94). Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale – DERS (Gratz & Roemer, 2004;
translated by Jakovina et al., 2017) was used for measuring emotional regulation. Scale of
Positive and Negative Experience – SPANE (Diener et al., 2009; adapted by Komšo & Burić,
2016) was used for measuring affectivity. The Psychosomatic Scale – PSS (Vulić–Prtorić,
2019) was used for measuring psychosomatic symptoms. Study was conducted online during
April 2021. by sending invitation to participate in research via social platform of student dorm
groups and student groups, via mailing lists of study programmes and on individual addresses
with request to pass on. Results include representation of psychosomatic symptoms, affectivity
and emotional regulation among students in Republic of Croatia. Psychosomatic symptoms
were found to correlate positivly with difficulties in emotion regulation and negative affect,
negativly with positive affect. Difficulties in emotion regulation were in negative correlation
with positive affect and in positive correlation with negative affect. Negative affect and
difficulties in emotion regulation together explain 22,3% of the variance in number of
psychosomatic symptoms, 22,4% of the variance in frequency of psychosomatic symptoms and
15,3% of the variance in bothering by psychosomatic symptoms.
