Abstract

Psihološka nefleksibilnost je konstrukt koji se može opisati kao rigidnost u mišljenju, odnosno, pokušaj izbjegavanja neželjenih misli, osjećaja i doživljaja. Ovo istraživanje se bavilo utvrđivanjem prediktora psihološke nefleksibilnosti u akademskom okruženju. U istraživanju su sudjelovale 504 studentice koje pohađaju studijske programe diljem Hrvatske, te su podaci prikupljeni online. Korišteni su upitnici Ljestvica prihvaćanja i akcije II, Ljestvica akademskog samohendikepiranja, Ljestvica težnje perfekcionizmu, Ljestvica ciljeva postignuća. Utvrđena je pozitivna povezanost psihološke nefleksibilnosti sa neadaptivnim perfekcionističkim težnjama, samohendikepiranjem, ciljem ovladavanja putem izbjegavanja, te sa oba cilja izvedbe (putem uključivanja i putem izbjegavanja). Utvrđeno je da se psihološka nefleksibilnost može predviđati prvenstveno na osnovi neadaptivnih perfekcionističkih težnji, zadovoljstva vlastitim studiranjem, samohendikepirajućeg ponašanja i brzine studiranja. Utvrđen je parcijalni medijacijski učinak neadaptivnog perfekcionizma na povezanost između psihološke nefleksibilnosti te cilja ovladavanja putem izbjegavanja, jednako kao i sa ciljem izvedbe putem izbjegavanja.

Abstract (english)

Psychological inflexibility is a construct that can be described as rigidity in thinking and the attempt to avoid unwanted thoughts, feelings and experiences. This research examines the predictors of psychological inflexibility in the academic environment. The sample consisted of 504 students who attend study programs throughout Croatia, and the data were collected online. The measures used were The Acceptance and Action Questionnaire II, Academic Self-Handicapping Scale, Almost Perfect Scale – Revised, and The Achievement Goals Scale. A positive correlation was found between psychological inflexibility and maladaptive perfectionism, self-handicapping, the aim of mastering through avoidance, and with both performance goals (approach and avoidance). It was found that psychological inflexibility may be predicted by maladaptive perfectionistic aspirations, academic satisfaction, self-handicapping behavior and the execution speed of academic obligations. The results showed a partial mediation effect of maladaptive perfectionism on the relation between psychological inflexibility and the mastery-avoidance goals, as much as with the performance-avoidance goals.
