Abstract
Nastanak i širenje multinacionalnih kompanija te njihovo preuzimanje gotovo 80% medijskog prostora u cijelom svijetu, krajem 20. i početkom 21. stoljeća, stvorilo je novi društveni poredak, u kojem veliku ulogu igraju brzina razvoja tehnologije i brzina protoka informacije. Mediji stoje s druge strane te priče te je njihova iskonska uloga istinito i objektivno izvještavati o svemu pa tako i monopolu koje imaju multinacionalne kompanije. Što se dogodi kada mediji čine jedan od glavnih segmenata koji multinacionalna korporacija želi imati u svom vlasništvu? Na koji način multinacionalne kompanije plivaju u vodama medijskog prostora kao nevidljiva supstanca, ali ipak toliko esencijalna da dirigira agendu medijskog izvještavanja po svojim principima te što se događa kada nastupi kriza, ovaj rad će pokušati razjasniti.

The establishment and expansion of multinational companies and their takeover of almost 80% of media coverage in the whole world, at the end of the 20th and beginig 21st century, has created new social order, where the rapid development of technology and information flow plays a major role. The media is on the other side of this story, and their origin role is to truthfully and objectively report on everything, including the monopoly which multinational companies have. What happens when the media is one of main segments which multoinational company wants to have in their ownership? How the role of multinational companies is so invisible and yet so essential to create and manipulate with media agenda and what happens when crisis occurs we will try to find out in this thesis.
