Abstract

Cilj istraživanja bio je provjeriti valjanost revidiranog Inventara dječjih aktivnosti (ICA-R) na uzorku hrvatskih studenata različitih studijskih usmjerenja. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 317 studenata prosječne dobi 24 godine. Kao validacijsku mjeru koristili smo na hrvatskim uzorcima već validirani upitnik Personal Globe Inventory, kratku inačicu - PGI Mini. Rezultati su ukazali kako su obje mjere profesionalnih interesa imale prihvatljivu razinu pouzdanosti. Očekivana cirkularna struktura čvršće je potvrđena randomizacijskim testom za upitnik PGI Mini (CI = 0.86, p = 0.02) nego za upitnik ICA-R (CI = 0.51, p = 0.02), dok je faktorska analiza ukazala da u varijabilitetu oba instrumenta postoji očekivani generalni faktor i dvije suštinske dimenzije. Suštinske dimenzije donekle odgovaraju Predigerovim dimenzijama ljudi-stvari i podaci-ideje. Nadalje, potvrđena je povezanost korespondentih RIASEC tipova mjerenih ICA-R i PGI Mini instrumentima. Potvrđene su i očekivane rodne razlike u RIASEC interesima oba instrumenta: sudionice su postizale više rezultate na ljestvicama Umjetničkog i Socijalnog tipa, dok su sudionici više rezultate postizali na ljestvici Realističnog tipa. Rezultati ukazuju kako je za studentski uzorak primjereniji upitnik PGI Mini nego upitnik ICA-R, te bi buduća istraživanja trebala provjeriti korištenje ICA-R instrumenta na uzorcima osnovnoškolaca i srednjoškolaca.

Abstract (english)

The aim of the research was to examine the validity of the revised Inventory of Children's Activities (ICA-R) on a sample of Croatian students from different fields of study. The study involved 317 students with an average of 24 years. As a comparative measure, we used a short version of the Personal Globe Inventory questionnaire (PGI Mini), measure that was already validated on Croatian sample. The results indicated acceptable levels of reliability for both measures. The expected circular structure was more strongly confirmed by a randomization test for the PGI Mini questionnaire (CI = 0.86, p = 0.02) than for the ICA-R questionnaire (CI = 0.51, p = 0.02), while factor analysis indicated that in the variability of both instruments there are expected general factor and two substantial dimensions. The substantial dimensions somewhat correspond to Prediger's dimensions of people-things and data-ideas. Furthermore, correlation of correspondent RIASEC types measured by ICA-R and PGI Mini instruments was confirmed. The expected gender differences in the RIASEC interests of both instruments were also confirmed: girls achieved higher results on the Artistic and Social scales, while boys achieved higher results on the Realistic type scale. The results
indicate that the PGI Mini questionnaire is more appropriate for the student sample than the ICA-R questionnaire, and future research should focus on validation of the ICA instrument directly on a sample of primary and secondary school students.
